The Murphy Bed: To give you a place to actually sit during the day, we used a Murphy bed. Pull it down when you’re tired; tuck it away when you want to use the sitting area. It’s comfortable, but it’s the heart of the room.
The Kitchenette (No Stove/No Dishwasher): This is for "vacation meals" only. You’ve got a hot plate, a microwave, a small fridge, and a coffee maker. It’s great for eggs and toast or heating up leftovers from one of our local seafood spots, but you won't be roasting a turkey here.
No Dishwasher: Since it’s just the two of you, we’ve kept it old-school—you’ll be washing your coffee mugs in the sink!
The Shared Backyard
Since the inside is snug, we share our backyard with you. We’ve got a hot tub and a fire pit that we (the owners) use as well. We’re usually busy running our boat tours or working, so we won't be in your hair, but you’ll likely see us around.
The Location: 2 Miles to the Sand
We are tucked away on a very quiet residential street. It’s a great spot for walking or jogging, and you’re just a 5-minute drive (2 miles) from the Sunset Beach pier.
House Rules to Keep Us Friends:
No Smoking/Vaping: This is a firm rule. If we smell it, there’s a $500 fee. We want the next guest to walk into a fresh room.
Quiet Hours: 10 PM – 8 AM. Our neighbors are awesome, and we want to stay friends with them.
No Unapproved Pets: We keep this unit dander-free for folks with allergies.
If you’re cool with a compact, efficient "home base" that’s clean and run by locals who actually answer the phone, we’d love to have you.
You have the entire side of this duplex all to yourself! This includes your private entrance with a keyless door code, your own bathroom, and the living area with the kitchenette and Murphy bed. No indoor spaces are shared.
Parking:
You have dedicated parking right on the property. No need to hunt for a spot on the street—your space is reserved and just steps from your front door.

James is a wonderful host to a. intimate space neatly located near the beach. Comfy, quiet, and clean this space is a fine HQ for beach going ventures.
Great home base for a quick trip. I wasn’t looking for a spot to hang out in, just a place to sleep, shower and spend a bit of downtime. Has everything you need and nothing you don’t. Better than a hotel room and close to the best of the area. James is an extremely proactive and communicative host. He’s knowledgeable about the area and things to do, so if you need ways to fill your time he is an excellent resource. I will be back.
Loved the little hideaway! So close to the beach on a lovely little street right next to the intracoastal waterway. Everything was neat, clean, and well thought out. Loved the Murphy bed, and the couch placement was ingenious! Would definitely stay again and will be recommending to anyone going for a beachside stay.
